AWANA is fun with a purpose – to reach and train your son or daughter for Jesus Christ. Every Wednesday night, September through May, is a fun-packed, Bible-filled experience at First Baptist Church. Our weekly schedule includes:
6:30—8:00 p.m. AWANA club meetings
Opening and singing
Book time (learning and reciting Bible verses)
Large group time (Bible truths)
Recreation
AWANA is fun
with a purpose!
(Nursery is provided for children under the age of two. Bible
study for the parents of AWANA club members also is available.)
Cubbies
(two years prior to kindergarten)
Cubbies Club uses a fun, storybook style of learning that appeals to preschoolers. Biblical truths are presented in a simple but powerful way. Children in Cubbies are typically ages 3 to 5, depending on the date they turn 3. Children must be potty trained to participate in Cubbies Club.
(grades K-2)
Sparks Club meetings combine learning with fun to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement. “Sparks” meetings are divided into three segments:Bible teaching, worship, award Presentations, and the gospel messageSmall group interaction and completion of Bible-based lessonsAge-appropriate games
Along the way, Sparky, the friendly firefly, encourages boys and girls to learn verses and complete Bible lessons. Children will focus on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as they memorize important Bible verses.
Once your son or daughter learns what to expect each week at T&T, you won’t have to ask if he or she wants to go to AWANA! T&T will be eagerly anticipated - a bright spot in your child’s week!
(grades 3-6)
The name, “Truth & Training” reflects AWANA’s commitment to teach third through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. “T&T” is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow - today!
