Youth Ministry
The youth ministry at First Baptist Church is divided into age-appropriate biblical instruction
for middle school and high school students. Relevant Bible study occurs on Sunday
mornings and Wednesday evenings (Wednesday evening youth activities are conducted
from September to June each year).  On Wednesday nights youth also have an opportunity
for "hang time" - visiting with one another, playing games, and participating in outdoor
sports as the weather permits.

Our youth ministry is led by a dedicated young couple who have
deep ties to our church. They bring a delightful blend of maturity,
Bible study, and fun to the youth ministry. Another notable aspect
of the youth ministry at First Baptist Church is the number of adults
who actively participate in weekly youth activities. They teach, help
with recreational activities, and serve as sponsors for youth
activities.
Special events for youth include discipleship weekend camping experiences, volunteering to
serve at Camp Barnabas (a camp for special needs persons located in southern Missouri),
local mission trips, Christian concerts, paint ball (for the guys), shopping trips (for girls and
some guys!), bowling, and much more! While the first priority of our youth ministry is
personal discipleship through sound biblical instruction, the youth have several
opportunities each year to enjoy special activities.
